Larry Saperstein is an American actor and assistant director. Larry is renown as Big Red in the TV series, High School Musical.

Larry Saperstein was born on the 12th of April 1998 in Long Island, New York. His parents are theatre performers. They are of Hebrew-Germanic ancestry.

In the fall of 2016, he joined Pace University School of Performing Arts in New York.

In the spring of 2020, he will be graduating from the university with a major in Design and Production for the Stage and Screen.

Early Life

At the age of 3 years, he got an opportunity to perform on his father’s production. After the show, he was in love with performing in theater. At the age of six, he took a dance lesson.

After the dance, he just moved to the performing arts. For that, he joined the Usdan Center for nine consecutive summers. In the center, he met more acting professionals.

Larry Saperstein also joined Tap City Youth Ensemble were worked for the American Tap Dance Foundation.

Along with the foundation, he danced and assists the top dancer including Brenda Bufalino, Joseph and Josette Wiggen.

He started his career through theater. In the beginning, he worked in a stage production. Later, he started as an artist and acted in many plays.

However, professionally he characterized Charlie Bates in OLIVER! at John W. Engeman Theater. After the theater, he moved to New York City performances.

In 2010, he debuted with the short movie, Finding. In the movie, he contributed a voice to Boy. One year later, he featured as Jeremy in the short Blindfold.

The short movie about 10 years old girl and her dad whose mother died in an attack.

After the short, he was cast in short movies and TV series including 2019- The First Wives Club and Porno, 2015- Fan Girl.

However, he was recognized as an actor by his last TV series, High School Musical, In the show, he was in the role of Big Red. As the title suggests, the movie is about high school kids. Altogether, he appeared in 10 episodes.

Currently, Larry Saperstein is an assistant director for Gap Year. The comedy based movie is in the verse of post-production.
