The late Amy Winehouse’s ex-husband ‘scumbag’ Blake Fielder-Civil has sued her parents for a £1million stake in her fortune!

English Singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse‘s parents lost Amy Winehouse at the young age of 27 to an alcohol overdose.

As if this tragic loss was not enough, now Amy’s ex-husband drug addict, and ex-convict Blake Fielder-Civil is putting a £ 1 million claim in her fortune.

Amy Winehouse was an acclaimed singer. She has won awards and nominations and has also broken Guinness world records. Amy was a chronic alcoholic. She was drinking and listening to music and TV watching until 2 am on the day of her death namely 23 July 2011.

The next day morning, her bodyguard saw her lying on her bed and tried to awaken her. He did not suspect anything wrong since she was used to sleeping late after a night out.

Again after 3 pm the same day, he found her still asleep. He observed that she was in the same position as, before.

The bodyguard then decided to check properly and found her not breathing and with no pulse. He alerted the emergency who pronounced her dead at the scene. She was only 27.

Amy Winehouse and her estate, wealth, and relationship

Amy was a divorcee. She was a daddy’s girl and after her death, her £2.94million estate and fortune went to her mother Janis, 63, and her father Mitch, 68.

Amy was in an on-off relationship with Blake Fielder-Civil who was a former video production assistant. In between in 2006 she dated chef-musician Alex Clare.

She wed Blake on 18 May 2007 in Miami Beach, Florida. The couple used to indulge in physical fights often and also have self-inflicted wounds. Amy had said:

“If he says one thing I don’t like, then I’ll chin him.”

Blake had introduced her to crack and heroin, he admitted. From 21 July 2008 to 25 February 2009, Blake was behind bars for assaulting a pub landlord and giving him money to dispose of the case.

Amy was, spotted with actor Josh Bowman in Saint Lucia on a holiday in January 2009. She said she was in love again and Blake filed for divorce based on adultery.

Amy had paid Blake a lump sum of £250,000. But Blake’s lawyers, after eight years of her death, are demanding more now.

Blake Fielder-Civil and his new case

Blake has claimed money from the fortune of Amy eight years after her death. He resides in a one-bed flat in a Leeds estate and needs to buy a new house. A source close to Amy’s family said:

“This is someone who spent a lot of Amy’s money during their time together.

“He also and spent a lot of their marriage in prison, bringing nothing but pain to everyone. To give him another penny would be too much.

“Blake is an utter scumbag. It is unbelievable that he is trying to tap into her estate and make a claim for money.

“Janis, in particular, is very upset about this.”
