Who is Leeteuk?

Leeteuk is a well-known South Korean singer, composer, radio personality, and professional actor. In addition, in November 2005, he made his debut as the frontman of the boy band Super Junior.

Leeteuk was the second child born to Park Young-in and Yoo Suk-Yeong. He has an older sister, Park In-young, who is both a singer and an actor. Unfortunately, their parents split formally in 1998. A letter alongside the bodies stated, “I will take my parents with me.” Park Yong-in has been battling with depression and financial issues for a long time, according to the reports. The funeral was attended by every member, and he was also granted emergency leave.

When Leeteuk was sightseeing in Apgujeong-dong in early 2000, a talent scout contacted him and suggested he apply for SM Entertainment’s Starlight Casting System.

He registered with SM Entertainment and became a trainee after multiple test recordings and performances. In the same year, he starred as an extra in the MBC TV drama All About Eve, and he temporarily modeled for Pepsi in 2002.

In 2003, he joined the five-member boyband Smile, which aspired to compete with TVXQ. The project was canceled, and they were sent to the Super Junior rotating group, along with eleven other youngsters. Leeteuk became the group’s leader despite being older than the other trainees.

Leeteuk made his professional debut as a member of the 12-member project group Super Junior 05 on the Seoul Broadcasting System’s (SBS) music show Popular Songs in 2005, playing their first single, “Twins (Knock Out)”.

When SM Entertainment recruited new members for the group Kyuhyun in 2006, they deleted the suffix ’05’ and were officially known as Super Junior.

He co-hosted KBS Super Junior’s ‘Kiss The Radio’ with Eunhyuk from 2006 until 2011. He returned to the show briefly as a guest host in 2016. Leeteuk joined the trot-singing sub-group Super Junior-T in February 2007. He joined the bubblegum pop trio Super Junior-H a year later.
