Leilani Dowding gets engaged to boyfriend Billy Duffy amidst coronavirus fear!

Real Housewives Of Cheshire actress, Leilani Dowding, 40 is engaged to her boyfriend of 3 years, Billy Duffy, 58. The former Miss Great Britain announced her engagement on her Instagram.

The reality TV star, Leilani Dowding, 40 is in high spirits. She disclosed on her social media that she and her boyfriend musician Billy Duffy are engaged. She uploaded a photo of the two holding hands while she was showing off her huge sparkler. She wrote on her palm:

“I said Yes!”

She put an arrow on it with the arrow pointing to her engagement ring. She credited the global coronavirus pandemic for the engagement. She captioned her Instagram post thus:

‘This virus has made me realise what an a**e I’ve been taking so many small things for granted. Life can change SO fast in days.
‘I’ve never felt such relief and gratitude that Billy could make it home before the travel ban kicked in.
‘This surreal time has made me reflect on what matters most. It’s actually the BEST timing it could ever be!
‘I don’t care that there was no party, or a romantic foreign destination. The only thing that matters, is being together. I’m so lucky and so grateful that he can be home.’

Leilani’s fiance, Billy also shared the same picture but put a different caption to it. He wrote:

‘She did indeed say yes!’

Billy is a musician with The Cult band. He was born and grew up in Manchester. He started to play the guitar at the age of 14. Later he worked with several bands and moved first to London and later to LA for a music career. He has since returned to the UK.

The relationship between the couple

Leilani had resided in the USA for almost 15 years. It was here that she met Billy and soon the two began dating.

She returned from Los Angeles to the UK and moved in with Billy. Later, she signed up for the show Real Housewives of Cheshire and started her TV career.

Leilani was 18 when she won the crown at the Miss, Great Britain beauty pageant in 1998. The following year, her name came up on Page 3. Her fan base increased.

She went for the Miss Universe contest in Hawaii and was the first woman from Britain of Asian ethnicity to take part in the contest. It was a moment of pride for her.

This would not be Leilani’s first marriage. Her first husband was Richard Palmer who was a restaurateur. Earlier, he was married to Raquel Welch. But Leilani and Richard divorced soon after they wed.

Billy also was in multiple relationships before their engagement to Leilani. The known relationships are with Michelle Ebeling (1989 – 1990), Jennifer Mallini (2004 – 2007), Aj Celi (2007 – 2014), and Nicolette Scorsese. He also had a romantic encounter with Zeta Graff in 2006.
