Her birthday didn’t go as planned because she was rushed to the hospital due to severe cramping and a bowel blockage.

Leslie Fhima was taken to the hospital on her 65th birthday after experiencing severe cramps and a bowel blockage.

On Sunday, December 31, the Golden Bachelor finalist gave an update on her health via Instagram stories. She posted a video of herself in a hospital bed with an IV in her arm.

She said in a video,

“Hey everybody! I know that everyone was just curious to know what I did on my 65th birthday. I spent it in the hospital. Yes, I had a bowel blockage, severe cramping, came into the ER,”

Fhima revealed that she had surgery as well which she described as “just something so random.” She explained,

“[It was] actually, scar tissue from an appendectomy I had when I was 18 years old. If you have severe stomach issues, don’t wait 12 hours to go to the hospital like I did.”

At the end of the video, she wished her fans a happy new year and expressed her excitement to go home and meet her dog.

A Thank You Post

Leslie shared another post two days later on Instagram while showing gratitude towards those who sent beautiful birthday messages to her.

She shared a pair of photos of herself, the first one with her dog, and wrote underneath the post,

“Thank you to everyone , from the bottom of my heart , for the amazing birthday messages that I received. I am so appreciative and grateful for everyone that supports me on a daily basis. This has been an amazing year for me and I count my blessings daily.. Happy 2024!”

Fhima was among the 22 women who competed to win Gerry Turner’s heart on the first season of The Golden Bachelor.

Fhima became the runner-up of the season after Gerry decided to pop the question to Theresa Nist in the final. The happy couple is set to tie the knot in the first week of January.

While many Golden Bachelor contestants are expected to attend their wedding. It is unclear if Leslie will attend the wedding, as her current medical condition is not good.
