The Los Angeles home of Doug Ellin burglarized!

There have been a spate of break-ins and robberies in the high profile neighborhood of Los Angeles. The robbers are targeting homes of several celebrities residing in the locality. The recent house to be burglarized was that of Entourage creator, Doug Ellin.

Doug Ellin and his house burglary

Entourage creator, Doug Ellin had burglars in his house last month. However, he was not at home at the time of the robbery. Police had reached his Beverly hills home on 30 December 2023 at 7 pm to investigate the matter and catch the culprits.

The home intruders entered his house from the backyard and by breaking his windows. There were two robbers in black ski masks. The police have rounded up 13 suspects who could be part of an organized burglary series in the affluent area. And they believe that some of these criminals could be responsible for breaking into Doug’s house as well.

Moreover, the police officers found a 2018 white Mercedes GLS that was probably used in another burglary in the area. They found a woman inside this car whom they detained for interrogation. Additionally, they deployed service dogs. With their help, they took into custody four and then later another nine suspects.

Doug speaks about the frightening robberies

Doug spoke about the robbery at his house. He stated that the incident was pretty awful. He went on to say:

“There are far worse things happening in the world but it all seems part of the same pattern.”

Doug posted on his social media:

“I know more people who have been robbed in the last six weeks than in the previous 30 years I have lived here combined,”

He continued:

“Los Angeles is spiraling.”

Burglary at homes of Kevin Connolly and Keanu Reeves

The houses broken into in the last few weeks in the elite neighborhood of Los Angeles included those of Kevin Connolly and Keanu Reeves.

Kevin plays the role of Eric Murphy in Entourage. On 25 December 2023 at 1.14 am, cops reached his home on receiving a call of burglary at his home. Kevin was not in his house at that time.

But his antique gun and other minor items were stolen. The burglar had entered his home through the backdoor that he forced open. Kevin’s house has three bedrooms and three bathrooms and he was in the process of checking what other items were missing from his home after the burglary. Again on 29 December 2023, his burglar alarm had gone off. Cops arrived on the spot immediately. But it turned out to be a false alarm.

Prior to this, on 6 December 2023, Keanu Reeves’ house was broken into. These intruders were also in ski masks. And they left taking his firearm with them. Cops had come twice to his home. The first time, they were called to check about a potential trespasser. But when they arrived on the scene, there was no one there. Later, at 1 am, his house alarm went off. The cops again came to the scene. The CCTV footage showed several men in masks entering his home. They had smashed his house windows to enter inside and stole his firearm.
