Love Island‘s Danica Taylor and Jamie Allen become the first pair of this year’s series to call it quits.

The news of their breakup comes just a day after Taylor kissed TOWIE‘s Roman Hackett on Saturday.

This came as a shock to Jamie and he is the one who reportedly put a full stop to their relationship.

Danica, 21, who is a dancer by profession struggled to find love on the show but eventually coupled up with Jamie, 27, who is a footballer.

The couple had only started things together during the final weeks of the competition and they narrowly missed out on the final after breaking up.

A source close to the couple confirmed their split and said:

”Danica and Jamie have gone their separate ways.”
They were yet to make their relationship official but have decided that they didn’t quite work together romantically.
‘Jamie has just signed for a new football team and Danica is busy pursuing endless opportunities after leaving the Love Island villa and they sadly drifted apart.
”They’re good friends still and will continue to support each other in everything they do.”

The former pair are moving on with their careers

Jamie ended things between them after Danica kissed Roman who on Saturday morning dropped her off at a train station.

Some sources claim that Roman and Danica are just friends.

Meanwhile, the former couple has not yet publicly commented on their split and also have not posted anything about each other on Instagram since August.

Some time ago, the couple gave a loved-up photo shoot for a renowned magazine and also made everyone believe that their love would be long-lasting.

The former pair have decided to move on with their careers. Jamie announced on Instagram that he has signed with football team AFC Telford United.

Danica, on the other hand, has been busy attending celebrity events like the Married At First Sight UK launch party in London. She is promoting brands like Pretty Little Thing on Instagram.
