Lynda Carter is an American actress, singer, songwriter, and beauty pageant titleholder. Lynda Carter was crowned Miss World America in 1972.

As an actress, she is best known as the star of the hit TV series Wonder Woman from 1975 to 1979. She is the first female superhero in history.

She played Wonder Woman/Diana Prince in Wonder Woman in more than 60 episodes.

Carter currently plays the character of U.S. President Olivia Marsdin in the series Supergirl since 2016.

Lynda Carter was born on 24 July 1951, in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Her full name is Linda Jean Cordova Carter. She is the daughter of Colby Carter and Juana Córdova.

Her nationality is American and she is of mixed ethnicity (English, German, Scots-Irish, Northern Irish, and Spanish-Mexican). During high school, Carter performed in a band called Just Us.

When Lynda Carter was 16, she joined two of her cousins in another band called The Relatives. Carter attended Arizona State University. At that time, she was voted “Most Talented” student.
