Mandy Moore honors her sons on Instagram

Mandy Moore is celebrating her two sons.

On Thursday, the actress, 39, posted a sweet carousel of photos on Instagram of her two sons on the occasion of National Son’s Day.

Moore shares her boys August Harrison, 2, and Oscar Bennett, 11 months, with her husband Taylor Goldsmith.

She captioned the post,

“A love that defies description and changes you on a cellular level. I’m the luckiest to be your mom, Goose and Ozzie. #nationalsonsday,”

In July, the This is Us star revealed how being a mother inspired her greatly to be a better musician.

“I feel like having kids has really made me think about making cool music for them one of these days,”
“I don’t know if that would be original songs or covering songs.“

She also admitted in her interview that her older son Gus, has inspired her in particular. Moore said that the toddler mostly listens to his father’s choice of music by Warren Zevon, and Tom Petty, and The Kinks and The Beatles.

The A Walk to Remember actress said,

“People often remark that Gus has great taste [in] music. I’m like, that’s because Taylor curates it! He only likes what Taylor introduces him to,”
“Dad’s feeding him that diet of really, really cool rad music.”

Mandy Moore talks about parenthood

In January, the singer admitted that having two kids is a lot of work.

In February, she admitted to People,

“You wake up with endless gratitude every day, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that it is hard work,”

“And the lack of sleep is something that is a constant and makes everything feel all the more challenging. But, I think, it’s just having grace for ourselves as parents and as humans and recognizing that each day is going to present its own challenges, but its own immense joy as well.”

The lovebirds married in a backyard ceremony in 2018 and welcomed their first son on February 20, 2021. They welcomed their second boy in October 2022.

In July 2023, Mandy revealed that the couple’s three rescue cats – Peanut, Fig, and Olivia helped them prepare for being parents.

She admitted,

“I feel like they really prepared us for parenthood and the ways of being responsible and looking out for something outside of yourself,”
