Your favorite Christmas song singer Mariah Carey‘s daughter loves your favorite shopping destination! Cool isn’t it? Mariah Carey, 49, is an American singer-songwriter. The singer of the evergreen Christmas song All I Want For Christmas Is You had a daughter in 2011.

Carey and Nick Cannon named their daughter Monroe which in Scottish translates to “From the mouth of Roe”. Monroes’ name came after the famous actress Marilyn Monroe. Monroe also has a twin brother, Moroccan. The pair named Moroccan after the Moroccan style in which Nick proposed to Mariah.

When the twins turned three, in 2014, rumors surrounded this family about the couple separating. Eventually, in 2016 Cannon’s and Carey’s divorce was finalized. And as if these things never affected the children, the pair would separately spend time with their children.

The twins were spotted at various award shows and red carpets with their parents. Mariah and her kids seemed to have a great time in each other’s company.

[Mariah supposedly had a spa night with her daughter, shared the fall with her kids, and went on a zoo date with Moroccan. Nick and Mariah also seemed to have had a reunion last Halloween to spend it with their kids. It’s the things we do for the ones we love.

Both, Nick and Mariah, have had controversies and rumors in their lives, and being in Hollywood seems to justify that. What matters is how they have protected their children from being affected. The clash between Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez has been going on for ages now. It all started with the “I don’t know her”. Just in case you don’t know the meme, I doubt if you’ve even been on the internet for long. Search it on your gif keyboard and all you’ll see is Mariah.

The Beginning

The story goes back to the 2000s when Mariah was interviewed by a foreign TV station. They asked her opinions on various pop stars, but when they mentioned Jennifer Lopez, she replied: “I don’t know her”. It’s not a surprise how immediately a meme was born. Years later, in 2014, Andy Corden directly mentioned it to JLo to which she cautiously enough replied;

“I know from back in the day, I’ve read things that she’s said about me that were not the greatest, but we have never met. Like, we don’t know each other. I think it’s kind of from word of mouth of things that have happened in the past that I’m not really aware of.”

A year later in 2015, a fan gifted her a t-shirt that had her iconic line printed on it. Maybe it was shocking for Carey to be reminded of something she said years ago. And replied;

“Recently? I don’t know. [yawns] I’m sorry, I’m having a “sleep” moment…
Well, there was a very interesting shirt that a fan-made with a quote that I said years ago that, when I said it, I really wasn’t trying to be funny. I was just being honest and everybody’s kind of blowing it out of proportion but this guy had a shirt on and it was a picture of me that he made and the quote was underneath it — and I’m going to leave you hanging as to what it was.”

Recent fuel

Just when we thought the fire had been set off, another incident brought back to fuel. During the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, when Carey went on the stage for her performance, JLo’s first instinct was to pick up her phone and scroll through Instagram.

Fans assumed this to be her reply to the I don’t know her gif. JLo seemingly denied the claim made by several fans. In her defense, she told that she watched Carey’s performance and might’ve looked down for a second or two.

Although she has denied it to be true, people like to assume things and make things up.
