There is sad news from the side of Irish singer-songwriter Sharon Corr. Her husband of 18 years Gavin Bonnar has split from her. And he is now dating the younger sister of the Queen of Spain, Telma Ortiz.

Spanish paper El Pais has reported that the ex-husband of Irish singer cum songwriter Sharon Corr, Gavin Bonnar is now dating Telma Ortiz. She happens to be the younger sister of the Queen of Spain, Letizia.

The couple was first spotted at a festival held in the capital city of Spain. It was the 2019 Asturias Awards function that took place on 18 October 2019.

Some pictures of the two were also taken and revealed Gavin is kissing Telma. They seem to be rather close now and in a relationship.

The paper has also reported that Telma has moved from Barcelona to Madrid, the capital of Portugal to be close to her present beau Gavin who is a barrister working in Madrid.

Sharon, 49, and Gavin were in a marital relationship for 18 long years. The musician plays violin in their family band called Corrs alongside her three siblings.

The two had met when filming for the video for Runaway. In 2001, the couple exchanged wedding vows in Cratloe Church in County Clare.

The traditional instrumental song “Along with the Girls” was playing in the background when the couple walked down the aisle together. This song was featured in Corr’s first album called Forgiven Not Forgotten.

The couple’s first child is son Cathal (“Cal”) Robert Gerard whose date of birth is 31 March 2006. Their second child is a daughter named Flori Jean Elizabeth and Sharon delivered her on 18 July 2007.

After the birth of her kids, Sharon has social anxiety problems. She had talked about it in her solo album.

Sharon and Gavin shifted to Madrid in 2018 along with their two teenage children. It was around a few months after this migration that they separated.

Eighteen years are pretty long and one can miss another person when he or she leaves one’s life. The divorce of Sharon from her husband Gavin Bonnar has affected her.

But amidst the reports of the collapse of her marriage, media photographers pictured Sharon venturing out alone in Madrid for shopping.

Sharon visited a local supermarket and she had loads of stuff in the bags she was carrying. She was wearing a black leather jacket with matching skinny trousers.

Black leather boots covered her feet. A leather bag hung on her left shoulder. She had a thick grey scarf around her neck. The singer was walking on the pavement with her grocery burden.
