Mary Cosby has been accused of being a cult leader as per the rumors on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. She inherited the Faith Temple Pentecostal Church from her grandmother after she passed away.

Since inheriting the church, Mary is dedicated to her role in the church and other housewives also attend the services.

Lisa Barlow suggested that Mary might be a cult leader after one of her friends Cameron Williams left Mary’s church due to extreme religious trauma.

Cameron claimed that she had given Mary around $300,000 and called herself ‘God’. Other members also claimed that Cosby has been running the church like a cult.

Ralph Arnold Jr., accused,

“The church has gone to ruin. She just screams at her members and mentally abuses them into submission. [She] brainwashes them on the regular, not to mention the utterly flamboyant and hypocritical life she lives.”

What does Mary Cosby have to say about the accusations?

Mary Cosby clapped back at people who questioned her religion. She was questioned about her involvement in the church on the episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City while they were on a trip to Vail, Colorado.

Lisa Barlow went to Mary’s room to question her about the allegations and asked,

“Do people at your church think you’re God?”

To which Mary said that it was a silly thing to believe. Lisa also confronted her about the allegations made by Jen Shah to which Mary said that Jen lives a lie and that is why she is in prison.

Mary said to everyone,

“I don’t know why I’d owe any of you an explanation, and why would it be a conversation? If I’m not able to speak up for myself, then my name shouldn’t be brought up.”
