Matt Ryan’s wife Sarah gave birth to a baby boy for the third time

Family of five! Former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan has expanded his family with his wife Sarah.

The beautiful couple, who are already co-parenting to twins sons Marshall Thomas and John (Johnny) Matthew, 51/2, is now the parents of three sons.

Sarah took to Instagram on Thursday, April 6, to share the happy news by sharing a series of pictures featuring the newborn.

In addition, she disclosed texts exchanged with her quarterback, 37, husband when they were trying to conceive. In her lengthy caption, she wrote,

“Suprise! He’s here! Not a belated April Fool’s Day joke but definitely a hard launch”.

“After years of unsuccessfully trying to grow our family, this past summer Matt and I decided to give it one last shot. I am forever thankful that we did, Because even though I’ve dreamt about this day for so long, the reality of having him here is better than anything I could have ever imagined.”

Mrs. Ryan went on to say that the problems from her previous pregnancy made this one high risk. She explained,

“I spent every week of the past 9 (10) months closely monitored, anxious and nervous. I am forever grateful for our incredible doctors and nurses who guided and supported us every step of the way,”

The new mom of three, 38, also unveiled the name of her newborn son, Cal Patrick Ryan, and said to him “You are the definition of being worth the wait”. She concludes,

“You have two brothers who have been obsessed with you since the day they found out about you, and you are already making a strong case as Dad’s favorite by making sure your arrival didn’t disrupt his Masters weekend. 4/3/23”

Matt and Sarah were college sweethearts who met when they were both students at Boston College. After several years of dating, they got married in 2011.
