Megan Thee Stallion canceled her performance at the 2021 American Music Awards at the last moment! On 20th November 2021, she announced that she would not perform with BTS. They would perform their hit track “Butter” at the scheduled time. Megan wrote on Twitter,
“Hotties I was so excited to go to the @AMAs and perform with @BTS_official, but due to an unexpected personal matter, I can no longer attend. I’m so sad! I really can’t wait to hit the stage with my guys and perform #BTS_Butter real soon!”
Fans were worried about her and hoped that everything was fine with her. So, BTS has performed at the AMA twice and has been nominated for three awards which include Favorite Pop Song for Butter, Favorite Pop Duo or Group, and Prestigious Artist of the Year.
Similarly, Megan is also nominated for three awards Favorite Female Hip-Hop Artist, Favorite Hip-Hop Album for Good News, and Favorite Trending Song for Body.
The 2021 American Music Awards will air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on 21 November at 8 p.m. Stallion has not disclosed the actual reason why she could not perform in the AMAs.
