Meghan Markle is trying to move her life in a better direction amid royal tensions.

The former Suits actress has signed a deal with Hollywood agency WME but it does not mean she is into acting once again.

The global entertainment agency announced the good news on Thursday. Sharing a headshot of the Duchess of Sussex, rocking a sleeveless dress, the group wrote via Twitter,

“We are honored to announce that WME now represents Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex in all areas,”
“The agency will be focusing on building out her business ventures across multiple facets of the agency & its broader ecosystem, including film & television production, brand partnerships & more.”

Variety noted that the Duchess of Sussex will not be focusing on her acting career.

Moreover, WME will also represent Archewell which was Meghan’s content creation label that she and her husband Prince Harry launched in October 2020

In her WME team, Markle will have Endeavor CEO Ari Samuel, Brad Slater, and Jill Smoller who is close friends with Meghan’s BFF Serena Williams.

The news of Markle’s new business deal comes amid news that she will not be in attendance at her father-in-law King Charles III’s coronation next month.

Meghan will not be at Charles’s coronation

Despite getting an invite to the historic event, Meghan chose to stay home in California with her two kids and celebrate her firstborn Archie’s 4th birthday. Meghan and Harry also share daughter Lilibet, 1.

A source said at the time,

“There was no way that Meghan was going to miss her son’s birthday,”

Another insider said,

“They had to make a decision that felt genuine and authentic, especially after everything that has been said and all the things that have gone down.”

”The words that Harry and Meghan have said about the importance of their family are lining up with their actions. They care about their family, so Meghan is going to stay [in California].”

Despite all the tensions, Harry will fly to London to show his support to his father.

A few days ago, the couple enjoyed a Lakers game despite everything that has been going on in their lives.

The King’s coronation will be Harry’s first interaction with his family after the release of his bombshell book Spare.

A royal insider said,

“Even though Meghan is not going, it’s still going to be extremely awkward.”
