A source told Mail on Sunday:

“Prince Charles admires Meghan for her strength and the backbone she gives Harry, who needs a tungsten-type figure in his life as he can be a bit of a softy. It’s become a term of endearment.”

It was reported by Daily Mail that Meghan had also helped repair the strained relations between Prince Harry and his father Prince Charles. A family insider had told Daily Mail:

“Meghan met Charles and was bowled over by his charm. She told Harry he was wonderful: welcoming, warm, hard-working kind and stable. She made it clear that he should appreciate him and bond more.”

The insider said that Prince Charles likes Meghan and was impressed by her. The source said:

Meghan’s father Thomas Wayne Markle was unable to attend his daughter’s wedding to Prince Harry due to his ill health. The retired TV lighting director said that he believes that Prince Harry and Meghan would soon start a family.

Thomas Markle was talking to UK’s Good Morning Britain 1 day back and told them that his daughter Meghan, 36 had wanted children for a long time now.

“And when she met Harry she spoke about how much she loved him and so there has to be a child making somewhere soon. I don’t think there is a stork in the air yet but I think it will happen sooner or later.”

Thomas and his health problem

In the interviews given, Thomas talked at length about his health issues and inability to attend his daughter’s wedding. Thomas had suffered a heart attack a few days before the royal wedding. People were not sure whether he would be able to make it for the big day!

He had said initially that he would not attend the wedding. Later he said that I his treating doctors permitted him to travel, he would attend the ceremony and walk his daughter down the aisle.

Two days before the actual wedding date, Meghan issued an official statement that her father would not be able to make it to the wedding due to his health issues. Prince Charles instead had walked her down the aisle.
