American meteorologist, Melissa Magee was born on 11 November 1979 in Los Angeles, California, the United States. She is the anchor of weather update shows on channels such as PHL-17, Good Day New York, and WNYW in New York.

Melissa is Afro-American. Her father used to be a corporate trainer and her mother had worked on TV with 20th Century Fox. Melissa has a brother.

As regards her educational qualification, Melissa attended The University of California, Los Angeles. She holds a graduate degree BA in English.

Subsequently, she registered with the Mississippi State University to study atmospheric sciences and geosciences. She has a graduate degree in Broadcast Meteorology which she obtained in 2010.
