Radar Online reports that after seven years of courtship and four years of engagement period, former CNN anchor Don Lemon, 57, and his fiance, Tim Malone, 39 have decided to take their relationship further. They will exchange wedding vows soon.

Sources have revealed that the fired CNN anchor, Don Lemon is soon going to wed his fiance, Tim Malone, 39. The couple are going for a holiday wedding. And the invitees are big celebrities. It is going to be a sensational and star-studded event.

And Don has chosen Joy Behar of The View show to be his best man on the occasion. An insider told the National Enquirer:

The relationship timeline of the couple

American TV journalist, Don had revealed that he was sexually molested when he was 5 or 6 years of age by a teenage boy from the neighborhood. He kept it a secret and told it to his mother only when he was of age 30 years old.

Don published a memoir in 2011 called Transparent in which he came out as gay. Earlier his close friend circle knew about his gay sexuality. He wrote that he knew about his sexuality at the age of five or six years.

Don’s partner, Tim is a real estate agent. The two met in 2017 and started a relationship. They had their ups and downs in their relationship. Later, in April 2019, the couple announced that they had gotten engaged to each other. Don announced on his Instagram with the caption:

Tim had supported Don when he was fired from CNN suddenly. The insider revealed:

In April 2023, Don got the pink slip. The ousting came after Don had made a rude, unpleasant, and controversial remark regarding GOP primary candidate Nikki Haley’s age in the earlier part of this year. During a breakfast with Don, Discovery CEO David Zaslav blamed firing Don on former CNN CEO, Chris Licht.

But the New York Times recently reported that it was David who told Chris to fire Don. The article added that Don was already skating on thin ice even before this Nikki Haley incident occurred. The media outlet stated:

“Firing CNN’s prominent Black gay anchor could be a public-relations nightmare and immediately taint Mr. Licht’s tenure,”
“Mr. Licht sought to protect Mr. Lemon by moving him from his 10 PM slot to a revamped morning show,”

It was David who insisted that Don should be fired. The news article further read:

“After continuing pressure from Mr. Zaslav, Mr. Licht announced on April 24 that CNN and Mr. Lemon had ‘parted ways,’”
“Neither Mr. Zaslav nor Mr. Licht personally broke the news to Mr. Lemon,”
“although Mr. Licht offered to meet with him after they told his agent. That meeting never happened.”

Revealing the double standards of David, the outlet revealed:

“Mr. Zaslav and Mr. Lemon subsequently met at Barney Greengrass, Mr. Zaslav’s usual breakfast place on the Upper West Side of Manhattan,”
“Mr. Zaslav said he was sorry for the way Mr. Lemon had been treated and blamed Mr. Licht for the outcome.”

Don had suspected something fishy when he tweeted:

“It is clear that there are some larger issues at play.”

And Chris was sacked in June 2023.
