Michael Jackson’s mom Katherine Jackson,93, gets into legal trouble
Michael Jackson’s estate claimed that the singer’s mother, Katherine Jackson, has received over $55million since the legendary musician passed away in 2009, per TMZ.
The new filing comes after Jackson’s youngest son, Blanket Jackson, also known as Bigi, 22, filed his motion to block his grandmother, 93, from using the late singer’s estate money to fund an undisclosed legal battle. Sources claim that the battle is the estate’s recent estimated $600 million catalog deal with Sony.
TMZ also noted that the Billie Jean hitmaker’s estate claimed Mrs. Jackson has enough cash to fund her legal fees.
They reported that she has received more than $33 million in cash from a $160,000 per month allowance.
The outlet also claimed that the documents show that the estate has provided more than $15 million to buy and improve her home, with a paid private gardener, chef, and security.
Jackson’s youngest kid Prince Michael Jackson II, was on his grandmother’s side until a judge rejected their initial objections to the undisclosed deal.
Earlier this week, Bigi submitted legal documents to argue that his grandma should pay her legal fees. In his filing, Bigi said that it would not be fair to force him and his elder siblings, who are heirs to the estate, to pay for their granny’s case.

Know a little more about Bigi Jackson
Internet users reacted to Bigi’s statement. One wrote,
”Trusting a mulinyan with cash is like trusting a wolf with a hen house.”
Another wrote,
”An inheritance goes to whoever the deceased wishes it to go to, if they are minors the inheritance will be held in a trust with trustees appointed to administer it.”
Bigi, the younger brother of Prince and Paris Jackson was born via surrogate in 2002.
After their dad’s demise, the kids were under the guardianship of Katherine. However, she surrendered her role to Bigi’s older cousin, Tito Joe “TJ” Jackson, in 2017. They held joint guardianship up until that point.
Mrs. Jackson’s court request read,
“Katherine is no longer needed to fulfill the duties that were necessary when joint-guardians were appointed,”
“Given her own age [87] and the fact that [Blanket] is now 15 years old, Katherine feels that TJ is able to assume all necessary responsibilities of the guardianship for the Minor Child.”
Unlike his two siblings, Bigi remains mostly out of the spotlight. However, he made a rare television appearance in 2021 to make people aware of climate change.
