Michelle Visage to be on the Judge panel of the BBC3 show RuPaul’s Drag Race UK!

The UK version of the show RuPaul’s Drag Race will be launched soon on BBC 3.
American singer Michelle Visage has been selected as one of the Judges of the show.

The announcement of the new show on BBC3

BBC has confirmed that the UK version of the US show RuPaul‘s Drag Race will be coming soon on channel BBC 3. They also stated that Michelle will be on the Judge’s panel.

The show will be produced by World of Wonder and will have 8 episodes. It targets the youth of society who like to view such shows. Like the US show, this show will declare a winner UK’s top drag artists the ‘Queen of Great Britain’.

Damian Kavanagh, outgoing controller of BBC Three, and Kate Phillips, Controller, of BBC Entertainment commissioned RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.

RuPaul Charles, Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell, Sally Miles, and Bruce McCoy, are the executive producers. While Ruby Kuraishe is the BBC Commissioning Editor.

About the show format

In this show, the drag performers will compete against each other for the title. There will be individual as well as team challenges to assess the skills of a drag queen.

The winners of this first test will go on to the Maxi Challenge round. In this round, they will have to either perform, model in a photo shoot, or prepare a runway look for a themed challenge.

They will then have to answer the judges’ questions and in each episode, one contestant will be eliminated.

Michelle Visage and her contribution

Michelle Visage has worked a lot to get this VH1 show to the UK. She has, great experience as, a judge since she was a judge for 8 seasons of the US show and 4 seasons of the All-Stars spin-off.

Michelle Visage and her musical journey

Michelle whose real name is Michelle Lynn Shupack is a multi-faceted woman. She is a singer, author, TV star, and DJ. Michelle, 50 hails from New Jersey and has learned music.

She moved to New York City for her acting career and after an audition was selected for the Seduction group. Michelle was part of several music releases by this group and also featured on several of RuPaul’s music albums and videos. She has hosted TV and radio shows. She has judged RuPaul’s Drag Race show and also its spin-off.

Michelle married David Case and the couple has two lovely daughters.
