Nathan Buckley and his wife of 18 years, Tania Buckley have divorced!
Collingwood’s coach, Nathan Buckley has split from his wife of 18 years, Tania Buckley. The couple made the divorce announcement recently. They issued a joint statement on this matter to The Herald Sun. And Tania also shared the sad news on her Instagram.

Their eighteen years of marriage have collapsed. Football coach, Nathan Buckley and his wife, Tania Buckley revealed that they have separated. They made a joint statement to The Herald Sun on this matter.
The couple had separated around 11 months back in January this year. But they made it official only now. They want to co-parent their two children; sons who are 14 and 12.
The statement said:
“It has been a tough and challenging year for every family and for ours included,”
“It is with the utmost love and respect for each other and a true commitment to our sons, that we have made a decision to separate in January.
“We remain dedicated parents and in the interests of our boys, we ask for our family to be given the privacy that is needed.”
“We thank everyone in advance for understanding our request and for the unconditional love and support we have received throughout our marriage.”
Nathan Buckley and Tania-the relationship timeline
The couple, Nathan and Tania Minnici had a wonderful courtship period after which they wed on 31 December 2002. Their engagement details are not known. They have two children.
These are sons Jett Charles who was born on 22 December 2006 and Ayce Dominic who was born on 21 September 2008. The family has a home in Toorak in Melbourne and resides there.
And now on 4 December 2020 after 18 years of married life, the couple has announced their split and divorce. Their fans are devastated and the couple has not revealed the reason for this divorce with minor children.
Nathan Buckley-the career
The Australian football coach, Nathan Buckley, 48 has had a great career. He was playing for Collingwood and was one of their best players. He had played 260 games with the team. Nathan also won six awards with them. On 5 October 2007, Nathan made his announcement of retirement.
He also worked as a commentator. Later, in 2012, he became their senior coach. It was a coaching handover arrangement that involved Mick Malthouse.
Nathan has also ventured into harness racing. He owns Hurricane Jett who had won the Group One race. This is a pacer that has been named after his elder son. The pacer got training from the highly successful and talented trainer Jayne Davies who is also a Collingwood team supporter.
Nathan has made several TV and panel appearances. He has done commercials and also penned his autobiography All I Can Be. It is published by Penguin Group in Australia and released on 24 September 2008. Besides, Nathan also appeared in the 2008 Australian Grand Prix that was held in Melbourne. He was a celebrity racer in it and came in second place overall.
