The actress revealed why she quit wearing makeup and called the entire experience ”freeing, fun, and a little rebellious.”

In an interview with Elle magazine published on Thursday, Anderson revealed that she has more control over her appearance.

The Home Improvement actress, 56, who was famous for her super-skinny brows and smokey eyeliner has now a stripped-down and natural appearance.

After losing her makeup artist Alexis Vogel to breast cancer in 2019, Anderson embraced her bare face.

The actress revealed,

“She was the best. And since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it’s just better for me not to wear makeup,”

Anderson called the new look “freeing, and fun, and a little rebellious too.”

The actress continued,

“I did notice that there were all these people doing big makeup looks, and it’s just like me to go against the grain and do the opposite what everyone’s doing,”

She admitted,

“I think we all start looking a little funny when we get older. And I’m kind of laughing at myself when I look at the mirror. I go, ‘Wow, this is really…what’s happening to me?’ It’s a journey,”

In February, the Love, Pamela author covered the digital issue of Women’s Wear Daily with a makeup-free face and a diamond tiara.

She told WWD,

“I really feel powerful right now when everything’s very pared down,”

Anderson’s fans praised her decision to quit makeup

Unlike many other A-listers, Pamela admitted that she would age naturally rather than get Botox and fillers to look young.

The former playmate said,

“I don’t like those injections, and that doesn’t work on me,”
“I want to see what’s going to happen.”

Fans complimented Pamela’s decision to have a natural face and wrote praiseworthy comments.
