Paul Young is committed to his girlfriend Lorna Young

Eighties pop star Paul Young is off the market! He took the next step in his relationship with his girlfriend Lorna Young.

The singer, 67, took to Instagram on Monday, October, 2, to share the happy news that he is engaged to his girlfriend Lorna after five years of dating.

He shared a photo of the two of them embracing each other alongside a sweet caption,

“Lorna said Yes! We are both so happy and both looking forward to a wounderful future together”

Lorna, for her part, shared a photo of the two on her own Instagram account and captioned it,

“My world my love, my everything, 5 years of joy, I could not love anyone more,”

This is the first time Paul is open about his relationship with Lorna while the soon-to-be bride is never shy to flaunt her affection for Young. She called Paul “the hubby-to-be.”

Similarly, she changed her Instagram bio, updating,

“Engaged to Paul Young and living my best life, love travel especially Italy, write a bit, proud mum to Aaron Young”

In December 2021, they began living together and shared three cats and a pet snake.

Paul Young has earlier married once

This will be Paul Young’s second marriage. He was previously married to his late wife Stacey.

Stacey died in January 2018 at the age of 52, after a two-year struggle with brain cancer. At the time, Paul shared the heartbreaking news via social media post tributing her,

“Sadly Stacey has passed away today after a two year fight with brain cancer. She died peacefully at our home surrounded by family, friends and her four children Levi, Layla, Grady and Jude.”

The former couple met on the set of Paul’s second single, Come Back and Sta, in 1983. They began dating shortly after and married four years later in 1987.

Similarly, they shared three children together Levi, 36, Layla, 29, and Grady, 27.

However, their spark faded with time, and they split in 2006 but hadn’t divorced. Stacey, on the other hand, moved on and had her fourth child Jude, 12, with Israeli businessman Ilan Slazenger

Alike, Stacey’s relationship with Ilan didn’t work out and she later reconciled with Paul Young in 2013. After that, they lived their blissful conjugal life for five years until Stacey died in 2013.
