American famous comedian, Pete Davidson is going through a rough patch in his life. He is suffering from mental issues and his friends are concerned for him.
There are reliable reports that Pete is demonstrating volatile behavior and this is affecting his career. This includes by cancelation of his several shows.
Pete Davidson and his recent stand-up show cancellation
American comedian, Pete Davidson has a nice and pleasant personality. But he is facing a tough time in his life. And his close pals are worried for him.
Pete has been canceling shows and has shown a meltdown. His behavior has turned volatile and his troubling nature is a matter of great concern for his friends.
Pete, 30 had at the last moment canceled several of his stand-up comedy shows in December 2023 and thus disappointed his loyal fans.
One of his gigs was at the New York City’s famed Beacon Theatre. An insider told the National Enquirer:
“That’s the LAST show anybody thought he would blow off,”
“A gig in New York is really important to him!”
The actor is from Staten Island and his hometown crowd was waiting for his show that he canceled.
Pete has temper tantrums
Pete has turned volatile in his behavior. And he has started throwing temper tantrums. One of these was during the filming of his upcoming movie Riff Raff.
This was a golden opportunity for Pete that could have put his career on the right track. But Pete threw a tantrum on the sets in front of leading co-actors such as Ed Harris, Jennifer Coolidge, and Dustin Hoffman.
This erratic behavior could lead to a sabotage of his budding career in films. An inside source revealed:
“Pete didn’t do himself any favors by melting down in front of some of the most influential folks in Hollywood,”
“He’s on the cusp of stardom but keeps shooting himself in the foot.”
Pete had a spate of mental problems last year. In January 2023, he damaged a home in Los Angeles by driving his car into it. The damage was so severe that the house had to be demolished to rebuild. He had to do 18 months of a diversion program for his reckless driving.
In June 2023, he was admitted into a clinic for his borderline personality disorder that he had since losing his firefighter father in the 2001 WTC terrorist attack.
Moreover, Pete has been using ketamine for four years. He admitted it in September 2023 and checked into a rehab for it.
Pete’s friends want to help him
Pete’s close friends are frantically calling each other and having meetings to discuss how to handle Pete and his mental demons. The source said:
“He obviously needs help,”
“People around him feels he needs an intervention before it’s too late.”
Three months after the January 2023 accident, there was another accident in which Pete was involved. At that time too, his friends expressed concern for him. The insider added:
“It’s just one thing after another at a time when Pete’s trying to address his drug use and his troubling emotional issues,”
