The Dog actress Kilcher who collected insurance benefits in 2019 due to her severe back pain is charged for claiming disability benefits despite working on the Paramount+ series.

According to the statement released by the California Department of Insurance with KTLA on Monday, July 11, Q’orianka Kilcher is a fraud.

“An investigation by the California Department of Insurance found Kilcher allegedly broke the law in collecting over $90,000 in disability benefits”

Q’orianka Kilcher- Fraud of $96,838 disability benefits

Kilcher collected $96,838 in disability benefits from Oct. 14, 2019, through Sept. 9, 2021, claiming that she has a severe neck injury and failed to work as an actress for over a year.

But on the contrary, she was found working in season 3 of Yellowstone from July to October 2019. She featured as Angela Blue Thunder in the series in 4 episodes in total, opposite to her plea of not working for a year.

Q’orianka Kilcher had her neck and shoulder injury during her shoot in Dora and the Lost City of Gold in October 2018. Things did not conclude here, as Kilcher talked about her prolonged pain and even claim more money even in 2020.

Maybe she did not get work for a few months but she claimed a year for which she self-surrendered later. Though the New World star began receiving temporary total disability benefits further, demands were not addressed.

Did the doctors have any clue about her employment history?

The doctor who examined her was not aware of her employment history and thus, happened to grant her the disability payments. The investigation department also said,

“According to records, she [then] returned to the doctor and started receiving disability benefits five days after last working on the show.”

Kilcher self-surrender herself on the insurance fraud charges on May 27, 2022, the day of her arrest. Her next court date is scheduled for August 7 but this time the Alienist actress is set to defend herself, no matter how vigorous it gets.
