Raquel Leviss is back in the dating game

A few months ago, Raquel Leviss called off her engagement to James Kennedy. The pair who got engaged in May after 5 years of being together, broke up due to various reasons.

Instead of being sad over her breakup, Raquel is trying to go out on a date and have fun.

Now, Raquel is dating someone who is pretty familiar to Vanderpump Rules fans. During a recent podcast interview, the star revealed that she has been out with Peter Madrigal.

She confirmed:

“I went out for drinks with Peter Madrigal. It was just a fun little time. And I figured this would be a good opportunity for me just to get back out in the dating world because I haven’t had an official date since the breakup. So when he asked me to go grab drinks with him, I was like, ‘Hm, okay sure.'”

She continued:

”This [was] literally the first person that asked me on a date. I said yes because why the hell not? It’s good practice after five years. It’s scary but it’s also invigorating and exciting.”

Why did Raquel and James break up?

Leviss and Kennedy announced their split just before the filming of VPR season 9. Sources confirmed that the breakup was not because of one thing. Instead, it was a culmination of many causes.

While addressing her split, Leviss said that she has been enjoying her alone time after the breakup. She said:

“I do feel like being single isn’t a bad thing. I think it’s a great time to relearn who you are and heal from your past traumas and to figure out what you really, really like and to date people.”

James, on the other hand, has moved on swiftly after the breakup. He is in a relationship with Ally Lewber. The couple made their red carpet debut at the iHeart Radio Music Awards in March. The couple also shared photos from their Jamaican vacation on social media.
