Renowned singer Janet Jackson’s third ongoing divorce, her court appearance with her husband and her post-pregnancy weight loss: Know all that here!

Janet Jackson’s divorce

American singer, songwriter, actress, and dancer Janet Jackson was sighted with her estranged husband Wissam Al Mana in the court premises of the Royal Courts of Justice in London on 14th June 2017 afternoon.

They were there to attend the beginning of their divorce proceedings. Their first round of divorce battle wrapped up.  The hearing had taken place in private.

Janet Jackson had arrived in the court at 10 am sitting in the back seat of a dark vehicle and leaving at 4 pm. Janet Jackson was all smiles and in ‘high spirits’ as she exited the court. Jackson looked slimmer post-delivery. An eyewitness confirmed:

“Janet was in a great mood. She was happy and hugging and kissing her legal team as she left the court house … Janet had about seven people in her entourage including her brother Randi, her assistant and her legal team.”

He added:

“She looks great! There is definitely a noticeable weight loss. It looks like she is getting back in fighting form to start her tour.”

Janet Jackson has probably lost 50 pounds post-birth of her child, Eissa Al Mana. Her ex-husband Qatari national Wissam Al Mana was in a dark suit and appeared serious and sad. There seemed to have been no interaction between the two while on the court premises. Wissam Al Mana was once seen checking his phone. At one point in time, he was spotted holding the prayer beads in his hands. He was alone when he made a quick exit out of one of the side entrances of the court.

Janet Jackson was accompanied by her brother Randi, her assistant, and her legal team. She hugged each of them before leaving the court premises. Janet Jackson had confirmed her separation from her husband of 5 years last month when she posted a video on her Twitter account. It said:

“I just want to keep it real with you guys for a second.

‘Yes, I separated from my husband. We are in court. And the rest is in God’s hands.”

Janet Jackson’s love record

Janet Jackson is the youngest sibling of the late music legend Michael Jackson. She married singer James DeBarge in 1984 for a brief period. The following year, the couple had called it quits and the marriage was later annulled. Janet Jackson subsequently tied the knot with Mexican backup dancer Rene Elizondo in 1991.

But they got divorced in 2000. As per the divorce agreement, Janet Jackson paid Elizondo $ 10 million. Elizondo had stated in his filed divorce documents that Janet Jackson acted weird and did not him to reveal their relations to anyone. She wanted him to pretend that he was her boyfriend. He also mentioned that Janet did not want him to remain out of the limelight.

She also denied him his due credits for songwriting for her Rhythm National album since she only wanted to further her image. She was not concerned about Elizondo’s feelings or emotions. Janet Jackson had counteracted his claims and said that the marriage had fallen due to Elizondo’s prescription drug addiction.

After her second marriage fell apart, Janet Jackson had given an interview in which she said:

“I thought I was jinxed. Maybe marriage isn’t for me? Maybe it’s my fault it never works.

She added:

“I was always faithful. When it was over, I put up shields to protect myself from being hurt.”

Who else did Janet date?

She then went on to marry Qatari business tycoon Wissam Al Mana who has a net worth of $ 1 billion. They married in 2012 in a private ceremony. Janet was once seen in a headscarf. It set the rumor mill rolling and the media and public speculated that she has probably converted to Islam.

On 6th April 2016, Janet announced that she is planning to start a family and hence she canceled her scheduled tour. In October 2016, she confirmed her pregnancy. Her son was born on 3rd January 2017. However, within a few days after her child’s birth, she separated from her husband Wissam.

There were rumors before the April 2017 official announcement about their split since she was seen without her engagement ring on many occasions. On 1st May 2017, Janet confirmed that she would start her ‘State of the World Tour’ on 7th September 2017.

Janet’s pregnancy

Janet Jackson was 50 years old when she got pregnant with Wissam Al Mana’s child. She had put on up to 100lbs (7 stone) during her pregnancy.  In early June, a source close to her had informed Entertainment Tonight that the singer has already managed to lose 50 pounds post-delivery.

She had taken to dieting, eating clean, and training to achieve this weight loss. She is not eagerly looking forward and preparing for her upcoming world tour which starts in the fall of 2017. It has also been learned that Janet Jackson would be taking along her infant on this tour.

Though Janet and her estranged husband are on their way with their divorce proceedings, they are not very bitter about it and are keeping their relations amicable. He said:

“Janet and her husband are separated, but have a mutual love and admiration for each other. There doesn’t seem to be a reconciliation in the future, but never say never.”
