Horvitz changed his career to voice acting, starting in 1993. He began with the voice of Alpha 5 in the live-action series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

Since then, he had several voice roles in such animated series as The Angry Beavers (as Daggett), Kim Possible, Invader Zim (as Zim), Dave the Barbarian (as Ned Frischman), and Zatch Bell! (as Kanchomé), The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy (as Billy and his father Harold), Squirrel Boy (as Rodney), Ben 10 (as Grey Matter), and Shorty McShorts’ Shorts (as Dudley).

Horvitz went on to voice a few monsters in other Power Rangers series. He was also the voice of Alpha 7 in the Power Rangers Wild Force episode “Forever Red”, after his stint as Alpha 5 Ended.

His first film was made in 1987, in the romantic comedy film Summer Schoool. And he made his first TV show appearance as Gary Van Sickle in the comedy series, Safe at Home, in 1986.

Horvitz made his TV show debut as a voice actor in the animated fantasy adventure show, The Legend of Prince Valiant, as the First Mate in 1992.
