Rosamund Pike sported a rather creative look at the 2024 Golden Globes with both fashion and protection on point.

The Saltburn actress attended the red carpet on Sunday evening wearing a protective veil just days after getting into a ski accident over the holidays.

During an interview with Variety, the star said,

“I had an accident over Christmas actually. I had a skiing accident,”
“[Its] not what you want when you’re coming to the Golden Globes on the 7th of January.”

She added,

“So on the 26th of December my face was entirely smashed up and I thought I need to do something,”

The actress’s face is mostly healed but she still decided to use the black, lace cover just to be on the safe side.

During her red carpet walk, the 44-year-old joked that the hat was fitting as it looked like something her elaborate Saltburn character, Elspeth Catton, would wear.

Pike said, “You have to channel it, don’t you,?”

She paired the hat with a black Dior couture gown from 2019. The stunning ankle-length dress consisted of a full skirt and mesh sleeves that were decorated with black floral appliqués.

The actress paired her look with black heels and silver jewelry.

For the big night, she did simple makeup and wore her blonde hair in a slicked-back, braided bun to give a clear view of her mask.
