No, Sam Smith and Christian Cown are no longer a romantic couple. Daily Mail confirmed that the pair had broken up after a year of dating.

“Sam and Christian decided to end their relationship before Christmas. They’re still friends and will continue to support each other in their respective careers but for now thay have separated.”

The outlet also reported that the 31-year-old pop star is now back on the celebrity dating app Raya, in search of a new love companion.

“Sam has signed back up to dating app Raya and is already connecting with new people… it’s a new year and fresh start for them.”

The now-former couple first crossed paths when the clothing designer worked with Sam on the outfits for their music video, I’m Not Here to Make Friends, in January 2023.

Sam went to the New York Fashion Week show the next month, dressed in all the items designed by Christian.

Similarly, they flew to New York just to attend Christian’s showcase. They boarded their flight shortly after they finished performing their popular song “Unholy” at The BRIT Awards in London.

At the event, they sat in the front row wearing a bright red jumpsuit, a sequin overcoat, and platform heels, along with other famous guests such as Lil Nas X and Bella Thorne.

Sam Smith: Past Relationship, Affairs

It was Sam’s first public relationship since their split from 13 Reasons Why actor Brandon Flynn.

The former couple dated for just eight months before they called it quits on their relationship in 2018. A source confirmed the breakup to The Sun at the time,

“They really fell for each other but they are both so busy with their careers and unfortunately things just haven’t worked out. Sam is obviously devastated. This is the most significant relationship they have ever had.”

In 2019, Smith then came out as non-binary a year after splitting with Flynn.

In the past, they dated Jonathon Zeizel, whom they met while filming their music video Like I Can. In late 2014, the two confirmed their relationship and also spent New Year’s together in Australia.
