Sam Smith and Christian Cowan spark up dating rumors

Sam Smith was seen holding hands with fashion designer Christian Cowan on Sunday while out for a stroll in New York City, sparking rumors that the two might be dating.

Smith, 30, kissed Cowan, 27, as they strolled through Manhattan’s SoHo district. In paparazzi images obtained by the Daily Mail, they are both dressed warmly as they stroll around SoHo, with Cowan going for a more laid-back style in an all-black ensemble that includes a classic peacoat, a pair of pleather leggings, and Bottega Veneta lug boots.

Smith chose to go in the opposite direction, donning a vivid yellow jacket and shirt with fuzzy cuffs that undoubtedly attracted attention. Or perhaps it was the fact that the two were photographed holding hands while on their brief stroll, with Smith giving Cowan a tender kiss on the head in some of the pictures.

Smith’s representative was unavailable for comment, while Cowan’s representative did not immediately respond. On this weekend’s edition of Saturday Night Live, the non-binary British singer—who uses they/them pronouns—is scheduled to perform as the musical guest.

Cowan, on the other hand, opened his own flagship store in SoHo in March.

This is not the first time the pair have been seen together

On Monday, a Sydney-based tattoo artist posted a picture of Smith and Cowan visiting his workshop to Instagram along with the caption, “I tattooed Smith with a red plant design.”

Since Cowan accompanied Smith to the White House in December, where they posed for a photo with President Joe Biden, First Lady Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, the two have remained close.

Smith performed in a concert honoring Biden’s official signing of the Respect for Marriage Act.
