Who is Sana?

Sana is a Japanese K-pop idol who is best known as a member of the girl band TWICE. She is a main vocalist and dancer with millions of social media fans.

Minatozaki has also appeared in a few television shows, including ‘Twice: Seize the Light,’ ‘Knowing Bros,’ and ‘Running Man.’ She was recently seen in MiSaMo: Do Not Touch, Misamo: Marshmallow, Twice Hare Hare, and Twice: Set Me Free in 2023, among other music videos.

Sana Minatozaki, also known as Sana, was born in Tennoji-Ku, Osaka, Japan, on December 29, 1996. She will be 27 years old in 2023. Based on her birth information, she is Japanese by nationality and Asian by ethnicity. Minatozaki was born under the Capricorn astrological sign.

Sana is the sole child of her parents, although she has not revealed who they are. She revealed early on that she aspired to be a singer and dancer and was influenced by the K-pop group Girls’ Generation. Besides has stated that she has not disclosed any personal information to the media.

Sana began training at EXPG in Osaka in 2009, with the intention of becoming a vocalist in Japan rather than South Korea. During her middle school years, she was spotted at a shopping mall by a JYP Entertainment (JYPE) employee and invited to the annual JYP Japan audition the next day.

Sana passed the audition and began her training with the JYPE trainee program in South Korea in April 2012. Minatozaki trained for about three years before making her Twice debut.

Minatozaki was supposed to be a member of a four-member female group geared towards the Japanese market in 2012, but the group’s plans were canceled. She was then supposed to make her debut in a six-member group named 6Mix, but their debut was also canceled.

Sana appeared on the music survival program Sixteen in 2015, a reality television series. Twice made her formal debut in October 2015 with the title track “Like Ooh-Ahh” off their first extended album The Story Begins.
