Track Palin’s assault cases

Track Palin has been accused of assaulting three people who had been close to him over the past few years. Palin, 43 has attacked three people and the most recent one has been last week against a female who was known to him.

Track is an army veteran and he had worked for a year in Iraq. He had attacked his father less than a year back after he broke into his parents’ house. His father Todd had bleeding cuts on the head.

For this Track was advised to take counseling and enter into a program which was intended for veterans in order to rehabilitate them if the situation arises.

In 2018, he had also punched his then-girlfriend. And this Friday night Track Palin was arrested when a female who was known to him made a complaint that Track was not allowing her to leave his house situated in Wasilla and he had snatched away from her phone from her and also hit her on the head.

It was learned that Track permitted the female to leave only when she screamed for help. Track, however, had said that they were in an argument and that the female had inflicted injuries on herself and it was not he who did it.

It was also learned that when he was to be arrested she kicked a table and also threw his head back. He was then put behind bars and charged with assault, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.

Track’s violation of the plea agreement

A plea agreement was reached and Track was told to be for 10 days in prison and later take a therapeutic program. If he did not take the therapeutic program, he would be behind bars for a year.

But Track Palin had violated that too and hence the Judge at the Anchorage District Court David Wallace reminded Track that since he had violated the said plea he should enter a halfway house by this month’s end.

Once he is with the halfway house, they will examine him closely and later decide whether he needs to be at this halfway house or go behind the bars. But the attorney Richard Allen did state that a prison term was unlikely.

The thinking before the Judge’s verdict

The Judge did have the option of allowing Track to be with the Veterans Court where he would have the benefit of having a mental health treatment and not the traditional sentence. Track had spoken in favor of a program at

Anchorage and stated that it would be a challenge to come down from Mat-Su Valley which was about 45 miles away. His father Todd Palin also wished that his son would stay at the veterans’ court and have the treatment there.

Todd, however, did not want to comment before the Judge’s verdict and Track had said:

“Pay me, I will.”

But the judge gave the decision that Track will go to a halfway house and things would be further decided after that.
