Congratulations to Sarah Snook and her husband Dave Lawson who recently welcomed their first child together!

On Monday, the Succession star, 35, announced that she and Lawson are proud parents of their first child with an Instagram post of her watching the finale of the hit HBO series with her newborn. The show aired on Sunday.

While the actress did not reveal her baby’s face, name, sex, or when they were born, she did post a lengthy caption now that Succession has ended.

Sarah started,

“It’s hard to express what this show has meant to me,”
“The places I got to go, the immense talent I got to work with…it breaks my heart that it is all over.”

“But my heart had to be this full of all the memories, good times, challenges and triumphs, to be able to break at all…so that makes me grateful,”

Referring to the newest addition to her family, the Australian actress wrote,

“I just watched the final episode of the final season of something that has changed my life. And now, my life has changed again. Thank you for all the love and support,”

Many fans and celebrity friends congratulated the couple on the good news.

The Originals alum Phoebe Tonkin commented,

“Congratulations Sarah. (And a second congratulations on that little head too in frame too),”

Sarah Snook debuted her baby bump while attending the HBO series’ Season 4 premiere in March. She wore a black jumpsuit and a silver outer as she lovingly cradled her bump.

At the time, she was 32 weeks pregnant and revealed that she actually hid her growing belling while filming the series.

She also revealed that her belly was not that big.

While this is Sarah’s first baby, she was already a stepmom to Lawson’s son from his previous relationship.

That same week she told at Jimmy Fallon’s show,

“I have a stepson, but this is my first baby that’s come out of me,”

Sarah and Lawson started dating in 2020 after being friends for many years.

In October 2021, she told Vogue,

“We’ve … lived together, travelled together, always excited to see each other, but totally platonic,”
“We’ve just never been single at the same time.”

The two then got engaged in October 2020 after the Golden Globe winner proposed to her partner.

The following year in February, the couple married in a backyard wedding in New York.

Snook said about the wedding to the outlet,

“It’s been a ride. There’s so much heartache and sadness in the world, but on a micro personal level, I’ve been very fortunate.”
