Divorce is the point of the relationship where two partners decide to part ways. After she filed for divorce one month ago, this couple came together in an event.

Scarlett Johansson came with her ex Romain Dauriac at the Singular Object Art Opening cocktail reception at 53W53 Gallery in New York City on Wednesday. They were not only captured together but both were dressed in black posing together.

This is not the first time they appeared together after the news of the split-up. Previously, the former couple announced their split on Jan 25, 2017. After that news, they attended an art show together that very same evening.

The story doesn’t end here as they also made an appearance together last December for the grand opening party of their Yummy Pop popcorn brand’s store in Paris, even though a source told PEOPLE they actually split months earlier.

Talking about the divorce, Johansson gave a statement to ET:

“As a devoted mother and private person and with complete awareness that my daughter will one day be old enough to read the news about herself, I would only like to say that I will never, ever be commenting on the dissolution of my marriage. Out of respect for my desires as a parent and out of respect for all working moms, it is with kindness that I ask other parties involved and the media to do the same. Thank you.”

Followingly, Dauriac also has something to say about the divorce. He speaks up with ET saying:

“It is indeed unfortunate, especially for our daughter, that Scarlett filed in court and made our personal differences so public. I would implore her to withdraw her action promptly and to go back, as uncomfortable as it might be, to the negotiating table.”

It seems the couple wants to keep their divorce matter quite personal and far from the media. We wish both a happy and healthy future ahead.
