Selling Tampa star, 33, confirmed the news that the retired NFL player got down on one knee in front of friends and family on Saturday evening, January 7. Chad proposed to Sharelle when they were going to his early birthday celebration.

He recently marked his 45th birthday on the 9th of January. Rosado gushed about the proposal to PEOPLE,

“I’m honestly shocked! I’m at a loss for words. This was absolutely beautiful and to see my family and friends here to celebrate our love, that really did it for me,”

Adding to that she said the proposal was a complete “surprise” for her as she had no idea about it. She continued,

“He is definitely not a planner, so for him to pull this off for me is so amazing. Just the thought he put into this and having our family and friends here to witness says a lot.”

The soon-to-be bride said she was ’emotional’ and then reminisced about the time when the former NFL player used to tell that, ‘I’m going to make you my wife‘ to her when they were in the initial phase of their relationship.

She went on to say,

“Although in my heart I knew we were always meant to be, now that it’s official, it’s even more special than I could have ever dreamed.”
