Davido is mourning over his son’s death at 3

Nigerian singer Davido, born David Adeleke, is mourning the loss of one of his children.

The singer, who is known for his hits “Fall” and “Blow My Mind”, shared a 3-years old son David Ifeanyi Adedeji Adeleke Jr., with fiancee Chioma Rowland. Sad to hear but Ifeanyi has recently died after drowning in a swimming pool at his home in Lagos, Nigeria.

The pop singer is also a father to three other children from his previous relationships.

The 29-years old David has not yet publicly commented about his son’s death, however, many have showered an outpouring of support on the Adeleke family.

Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu took to Twitter to pay tribute to beloved three years old kids tweeting,

“Death leaves a heartache no words can heal and today, I express my deepest condolences to David and Chioma, over the death of their son. Ifeanyi was loved and his smile made the world smile. I pray that God grants you strength even as my thoughts and prayers are with you.”

Rapper Bia penned down,

“Sending my love & prayers to Davido and Chioma. God plz cover them with strength at this time.”

Nigerian soccer star Victor Moses, on the other hand, wrote,

“My love, strength and prayers go out to @davido.”

Ifeanyi’s death is really drowning or something else

The late kid Ifeanyi celebrate his third birthday just two weeks ago. On October 30, the singer took to Instagram to pay birthday tribute to his little boy captioning,

“I pray with all my heart that God grants you perfect health and pure happiness for as long as humanly possible. You will grow to be greater than Me, Happy birthday, son @davidifeanyiadeleke !!! #BIG3”

The accident occurred on Monday night October 31, while Davido and Chioma were not at their home. Lagos police spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin proclaimed that eight members of the family’s staff were present when the incident happened.

The staff was taken in for questioning and six have been released. However, the kid’s nanny and another unidentified staff are still being examined to know what exactly occurred at the time.

Well, Hundeyin’s statement continued that the investigation remains ongoing to “ascertain if it was truly drowning or otherwise.” Similarly, investigators were “reviewing the CCTV cameras to get additional information about the circumstances of his death.”
