Sofia Richie Grainge is sharing a special pregnancy-related memory!

The model, 25, shared a video on TikTok of the moment she and her husband Elliot Grainge, and their family dog learned that they were having a baby girl.

The emotional clip shows Richie standing next to Grainge, 30, in their backyard with him holding a confetti popper. She then asked him “Ready?”

The 25-year-old model then counted down from three for Grainge, who burst the popper that released pink smoke and confetti in the air.

The soon-to-be mom’s immediate reaction was to scream as loud as she could and run around her yard in excitement.

Sofie’s scream plus the popper’s noise scared their Golden Retriever who moved from its spot watching the couple’s excitement.

Richie jokingly captioned the video,

“Sorry to all my neighbors for the horrifying scream 😅,”

Once she calmed down, Sofia moved closer to her husband whose reaction to having a baby girl was standing still with his hand over his mouth.

Giving her husband a big hug, Richie said, “I’m so excited!”

What did Sofia say about her pregnancy to Vogue?

When Sofia first announced her pregnancy in an interview with Vogue that came out on Thursday, she also talked about the moment she posted on Sunday.

Lionel Richie’s daughter said,

“I love the YouTubes and the TikToks — even before I was talking about getting pregnant — of gender reveals, so we had our OB text my assistant Becca [our baby’s gender], and we bought two party poppers: one blue, one pink,”

“She left out the one with the correct color inside, and Elliot and I popped it together. We both really thought it was a boy, so it was a true shock. My dream in life is to have a daughter [though], and Elliot is really excited for a girl too.”

Sofia also revealed in the interview that her husband is equally excited to have a baby girl. She called the the son of Universal Music Group chairman and CEO Lucian Grainge, “sensitive.”

She said,

“I think it’s so typical for boys to want boys, but he has a lot of sisters,”
