Sophia Grace said it was difficult to tell her dad about her future child

Sophia Grace is really happy to be a mother soon but she gave an update on what her dad really thought initially when he found out that she is pregnant at such a young age.

The Ellen fame revealed how chaotic it was to tell her parents that she was expecting before announcing it to the world.

The 19-year-old star said that while it took her parents a while to absorb the news, they eventually became happy for their future grandchild.

The former child star said:

“The first person that actually knew was my mom,”
“My mom’s reaction obviously, at the start, she was a little bit like, ‘Oh wow.’ But she just got used to it straight away and she was always really happy and excited about it.”

Grace, however, said that she gave her mom the full responsibility of breaking the news to her father.

The longtime Ellen fixture confessed:

“Just in any normal family, it’s sort of a hard thing to tell your dad — when you’re a girl — that you’re pregnant, and I’m sure people understand it can be a little bit awkward,”
“We were trying to think of a way to tell my dad and, eventually, I just got my mom to tell him because I couldn’t face doing it myself.”

Grace clapped back at trollers who mocked her pregnancy

The influencer concluded:

“I thought he might be like, ‘Maybe you’re a bit young’, or something because I am quite young,” she continued. “It’s not really about age. It’s just depending on whether you feel ready or not—and I think I definitely feel ready.”

Sophia became a household name when she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show beginning in 2011 alongside her cousin Rosie McClelland, 16. The duo performed their rendition of Nicki Minaj‘s Super Bass on-air.

It was only last week that she announced her pregnancy news to the world. She received mixed signals from her fans. While some expressed their happiness, others felt it was too soon for her to have a baby.

Sharing her excitement with the world, the star said:

“I’m sure a lot of you are going to be very shocked because it probably was quite unexpected,”
“I was very shocked when I first found out. I’ve got used to it now and I’m super, super happy about it. And I can’t wait to share this journey with you guys.”

She also hit back at trolls who mocked her pregnancy and said:

“Obviously everyone’s gonna have their different opinions.”
