Sophie Turner proves she and Joe Jonas decided to move to the UK
Sophie Turner proved in shocking court documents which she filed earlier this week that her soon-to-be estranged husband, Joe Jonas once wanted to move his family to England in a recent letter he wrote.
On June 16, just three months before filing for divorce the Jonas Brothers member wrote a note to persuade a homeowner to sell his house in Wallingford, Oxford.
The 34-year-old singer wrote,
“When my wife and I decided we were going to spend more time in the UK and search for a permanent home, our daughter expressed three unwavering requirements: having chickens, a pony and a Wendy house,”
“While many of the houses we viewed met this criteria, the moment we turned the corner and caught sight of the charming blue shutters adorning [redacted], we experienced a sense of magic unlike anything we had felt before.”
The Cake by The Ocean hitmaker then talked about the £7.5 million estate, telling how he found a “beautiful walled garden” and the sight of the owner’s children enjoying a picnic there “simply heavenly!”
Joe explained how he even spoke to his father-in-law about the stunning home.
The Lovebug singer said,
“My father-in-law is an incredibly keen gardener, and he was suitably impressed by your vegetable garden too, a very important sign off!”
Jonas even noted how he dreamt of himself living in England, writing,
“I have been completely charmed by the idea of dropping my children to school on the boat and being able to spend a leisurely afternoon cruising to the pub with friends on my very own boat.”

Joe and Sophie paid in advance for their new home
The DNCE lead praised the layout of the house and said that the huge rooms would be fit for a recording studio.
He wrote,
“We could tell that your family have truly loved living here and we can envision our children growing up here and making this our forever home,”
Jonas concluded,
”I really think Sophie and I will be able to look after [redacted names] and for many years pay homage to the magic you have created here.”
The owner was so happy by Jonas’ letter that he accepted the couple’s offer. The exes paid a 10 percent deposit, totaling £750,000 ($914,130), on the house on July 7. It was just two months before ending their marriage.
The court documents allege that Jonas texted one of Sophie’s sisters-in-law and said,
“Well, Sophie and I officially own a home in the UK,”
According to the docs, the sale of the house in Oxford is set to be finalized on December 2 this year.
Sophie claims that she and Jonas discussed in late 2022 and “agreed and committed to relocate to England” at that point. They left their Miami home in March.
Jonas filed for divorce from Turner on September 6. The next day, they shared a joint Instagram post, writing,
“After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage.
“There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
