Stacia Karcher and Nate Barnes have broken up
‘Married at First Sight’ couple Stacia Karcher and Nate Barnes are no longer married couples.
The former couple, who wed during season 15 of the Lifetime experiment, decided to end their marriage just six weeks after they said “I do” on MAFS’ season 15 final.
Stacia, 37, recently made an appearance on the MAFS season 16 kickoff special where she revealed that she and Nate had separated. She disclosed to the host Kevin Frazier,
“Nate is no longer around. Yeah, I am divorced. Yeah, It’s time [to move on]. Everything that he agreed to do on the show were all words. There was no action.”
Karcher then went on to explain,
“I gave it time. I waited. I was patient. I lived with him to give him more time to let him know that I was committed. I still want to be friends. I have no ill will [toward] him. I always, like, I love him [like a friend].”
Similarly, she noted that there is no hope for reconciliation when host Frazier asked her,
“You closed that door?”
She responded,
“Yeah, we don’t go back.”
She also revealed that the love between her and Nate right now is not a romantic kind but “friendship love” at this point.
How long have Stacia Karcher and Nate Barnes been together?
Stacia and Nate first met on season 15 of Married at First Sight. The 37-year-old reality TV star is an Accountant and Real Estate Investor as well a social media influencer.
She hails from California and was raised by a single mother. Nate, on the other hand, is a 34-year-old Day Trader and entrepreneur from Los Angeles. Likewise, Nate was raised by a single father.
Since the show’s beginning, the estranged couple had immediate chemistry and significant signs of compatibility. Also, they were the only two couples to remain until the final besides Miguel Santiago and Lindy Elloway.
Last month, Karcher also revealed in the Where Are They Now? special that their marriage was in trouble. She said,
“I asked Nate for a separation … Well, a divorce, I guess,”
During the November 16 episode, Stacia told her mom,
“I came into the experience wanting to move at a faster pace and be OK with that. Like, I don’t think anybody should’ve come into this process like,”
“‘Oh yeah, I want to get married to this stranger but I wanna move slow now.’ I’m like ‘OK, so why did we get married then?’”
