- We all love music.
- Some love to play music while more want to simply listen to it.
- Music soothes our ears and has been with us at all times- good or bad.
- The only difference is that different people have different tastes in music according to the genre.
Some enjoy listening to classical ones while others like more modern music such as pop, rock, alternative, RnB, hip hop, Electronic dance music (EDM), and metal among others. Music has become a way to express emotions and feelings that words in a way cannot.
One of the famous deathcore music artists is Mitch Lucker.
Who is Mitch Lucker?
Mitch Lucker was one of the deathcore music artists. He was an American musician and lead vocalist of the band Suicide Silence. The band was founded in 2002 and gained fame with the release of the debut album The Cleansin which sold 7,250 copies in the first week.
Family, Childhood
Mitchell Adam Lucker was born on October 20, 1984, in Riverside, California, USA. His parents were Kip Lucker and Denise Tucker. He had two siblings- an older brother and a sister. He lived in Riverside for 15 years.
His father brought him a bass guitar when he was about 12 or 13 years old. He was really into music but he never played it. Later as a teenager, he discovered his screaming ability when his brother’s vocalist stopped coming to garage practice. Mitch had filled in for him.
In an interview with The AU Interview, he said his influence to form a band came from,
“Korn, Deftones, Slayer, Sepultura… everything that my dad would buy and bring home to me and my brother saying ‘Hey, listen to this.’ “
Mitch had OCD and social anxiety which made school hard for him.
A musical guru!
Mitch met Chris Garza, SS’s rhythm guitarist and they instantly clicked. They both had a love for heavy music, so together they got members from other local bands and formed Suicide Silence. Without a label, they toured around the US by themselves.
They released their eponymous EP in 2005 on indie labels At the Deep End and SOS Records. The EP helped the band get a few fans.
Later a label, Century Media Records recognized them and signed them in. The band went from formation to deal in a mere two years.
Their Century Media debut album, The cleansing, was released on September 18, 2007. The album sold 7,250 copies in the first week, breaking through to the Top 100 on the Billboard charts. It became one of the label’s biggest ever sellers.
The bands next two albums No Time To Bleed and The Black Crown was released in the year 2009, June 30 and 2011, July 12 respectively. The albums received mostly positive reviews from both critics and fans which put him on the forefront of the deathcore.
Although the band released only 3 albums with Mitch as the vocalist, Mitch gained name and fame in his tragically short life.
Body Measurements, Social Media Profile
Mitch was 6′ 3″ with a slim body built. He had Dark Brown Hair and Dark Brown Eyes.
Although he is deceased and has no officially active social media profile, except for his former band, he still does have a large number of fans and fan pages on Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Relationship Status

The motorcycle crash that killed him
On Thursday morning November 1, 2012, at 6:17 am PDT he succumbed to his injuries from a motorcycle accident in Huntington Beach, California. He was 28 years old.
Mitch was to known be an alcoholic. His drinking habit and need for adrenaline rush were believed to be major factors for his untimely death.
Mitch’s wife, Jolie Carmadella spoke at his vigil and the most shocking info was revealed from her talk:
“He was an alcoholic, and it’s a been a big battle, I tried to stop him. I was in front of him begging him not to leave the house. Begging him. ‘Just seriously, for us, don’t leave.’ And he did. And this is what happened.
“It’s a wake-up call.”
She continued, “He was an amazing man. He was a wonderful father and a great husband. And now he’s gonna miss out on watching [his five-year-old daughter] Kenadee grow, because he decided to drink and ride.
“Just don’t. Just think before you guys do something stupid. Please learn from this. Please.”
In an interview with AltPress, Mitch had explained the excitement he gets from riding:
“The danger in it. Being a frontman in a band, you get addicted to adrenaline rushes. When you’re onstage, there’s not more of a rush. When I get home from touring, I need to find something to match that so I don’t get my adrenaline withdrawals. Being exposed to every element of danger while you’re sitting on a motor — that, to me, is freedom.”
A month before his death, he had tweeted:
Mitch’s band members from Suicide Silence had organized a candlelight vigil in his honor.
Mitch’s wife Jolie spoke at his Candle Light Vigil.
The Official statement from Suicide Silence released via Facebook:
“There’s no easy way to say this. Mitch passed away earlier this morning from injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident. This is completely devastating to all of us and we offer our deepest condolences to his family. He will be forever in our hearts.
R.I.P. Mitchell Adam Lucker – We Love You Brother”
Mitch is no more in this world but he lived, loved, and was loved.
