Deputies from the Riverside Country Sheriff’s Office confirmed his death to The Los Angeles Times on the morning of Friday at about 10 a.m., August 12. However, the cause of his death is still under review.

The TV network Comedy Central then took to Twitter to pour condolences and tributes to the beloved comedian. They tweeted,

“Teddy Ray was a hilarious and beloved performer. He’ll be deeply missed by the entire comedy community.”
