It has been a tough year for both actress cum singer Teyana Taylor and her estranged husband, former NBA player, Iman Shumpert. They had a messy divorce and it seemed not to get finalized. But the great news now is that ultimately, the couple has managed to reach a settlement on their separation!

After a messy year of uncertainty about their divorce settlement, actress and singer, Teyana Taylor and her estranged husband, former basketball player, Iman Shumpert have the final divorce plan ready. They have reached a settlement now.

A Fulton County judge has finalized and accepted the divorce settlement. Both are happy with the finalization and settlement terms of the divorce.

The court ruling contains all the details of the division of the pair’s material (moveable and immoveable) assets and has also laid down the terms of child support for their two minor daughters. Despite the difficulty faced in settlement under the public eye, Teyana and Iman have overall stayed amicable with each other throughout this tough period.

Terms of divorce settlement

As per the divorce settlement, Teyana gets four marital properties. The total value of all these properties is around USD 10 million. Additionally, Iman has to pay Teyana a 7-figure payment as one time alimony.

On the other hand, Iman can retain ownership of his expensive and luxurious condo in Miami. Moreover, he also gets his compounds in Decatur, Georgia and another one in South Georgia.

The couple share joint physical and legal custody of their two children. Also, Iman has to pay USD 8000 every month to Teyana as child support allowance. Over and above this, Iman has to pay for the full private school fees for both his daughters.

Teyana also gets a collection of their vehicles and this includes a Mercedes Sprinter, a Maybach, a tour bus, and also her personal Bronco truck. She can keep all of her jewelry as well.

Teyana had founded two companies, Taylormade and Auntie’s. She can keep 100% ownership of them. And Iman can retain all of his Shumpert Shump investments. These investments are in several business sectors.

The news comes from Jasmine Brand but neither Iman nor Teyana have publicly issued any statement about their divorce settlement.

The relationship timeline of the couple

Teyana and Iman knew each other since 2011. At that time, Teyana was already in a relationship. Later, in 2013, Teyana was Iman’s pillar when he underwent a knee surgery.

In June 2014, they went Instagram official about their relationship when she posted a picture of them on a beach, kissing each other. Teyana captioned it:

“Happy Birthday baby.. #ILoveU.”

And in September 2014, they walked down the red carpet together of the BET Hip Hop Awards.

In February 2015 came the news of Teyana’s first pregnancy. Iman proposed to her during the baby shower function at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Cleveland.

In December 2015, their daughter Junie was born at home. Iman had helped deliver her. In 2016, the two had a secret marriage followed by birth of another daughter, Rue Rose Shumpert on 6 September 2020. This was also a bathroom delivery like the first and Iman revealed:

“Our newest edition entered the world in the water and came out looking around and ready to explore! A healthy child. A little sister. Another daughter. Black love wins….again. Welcome babygirl…we love you!”

However, in 2023 they split.
