“Morgan Freeman“, the name which was already counted upon the multi-talented people was named among the Lifetime Achievement Awards in the 24th Screen Actors Guild Awards which took place on the 21st of January 2018 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

“Morgan, lift up your hat”

The award was presented to Morgan by his longtime friend Rita Moreno with whom he had once shared the screen. He was respected by all with a standing ovation. What a great environment it was to see every single person showing respect to the actor.

He started his talk with a joke about the lowered mic:

“Will this thing come up or do I have to bend?”

Just as he was starting to speak, Moreno couldn’t stop herself from asking Morgan to show his face as his face was covered up by the baseball cap he was wearing and the fact that he was bending down didn’t help.

“Morgan, Morgan, lift up your hat. Lift it up.”

She added:

“There you go. Now, we can see your face.”

As the crowd erupted with laughter he said pointing to Moreno:

“You’ve no idea how long did I have to keep up with that.”
