Tichina Arnold finally announced her split from her estranged husband Rico Hines.
The couple announced their split in 2016 and filed for divorce in August 2021.
The pair cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their divorce.

Tichina Arnold is officially a single woman

Tichina Arnold finalizes divorce from Rico Holmes more than 6 long years after staying apart.

The couple who was together for a good three and a half years is now officially single.

The court documents reveal that Tichina, 53, finalized her divorce from Rico on July 15 in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

While the divorce has recently been finalized, the couple separated in 2016.

The Martin alum who represented herself, filed for divorce last August. The couple does not share any children.

The actress once revealed that she announced their split to her close ones by sending them a sex tape of Hines, a player development coach for the Toronto Raptors, cheating on her with another woman.

Tichina and Rico, 44, both waived their rights to spousal support meaning each will keep their clothing, jewelry, and bank accounts.

After the video got public, the Everybody Hates Chris actress said:

“I did not expect it to go public the way it did,”

She also insisted that no one from her side leaked the tape.

Arnold could not trust Rico after his infidelity

The heartbroken actress said that she felt betrayed by Rico’s infidelity but it was not the first time he had cheated on her.

Talking about how she felt after she saw the tape, Arnold said:

“I had that feeling of, you know, beyond him being my husband, this is supposed to be my friend, my confidant. Somebody who I can trust.”
”And when you can’t trust the person that you sleep with every night, there’s a problem,”

She continued:

“I could no longer trust him. I could no longer lay with him. And it doesn’t make him a horrible person.”
”We all make mistakes, but not with me and not on my time and not in my life.“

Now after her divorce, Arnold said that she might not remarry since she is older now.

This is not Arnold’s first divorce. Before she married Rico in August 2012, she was the wife of heavyweight boxing star Lamon Brewster.

Furthermore, she shares a teenage daughter Alijah Kai with music producer Carvin Haggins.
