He is also the son of Mary Lee Woods (mother) and Conway Berners (father). His parents were computer scientists and mathematicians. They built the commercial computer, Ferranti Mark 1.

He is the eldest child of them. His younger brother, Mike Berners-Lee is a researcher and greenhouse gases.

Moving to his academics, he completed his High School education at the Emanuel School. Later, he graduated from The Queen’s College in 1976. From the University, he received a first-class bachelor of arts degree in Physics.

• After that, he worked in the real-time remote procedure call project from John Poole’s Image Computer System and joined CERN once more.
• In 1989, he got a chance to In 1989, he wrote his proposal on Transmission Control Protocol and domain name system and redistributed it.
• On 20th December 1990, he published his first website from the CERN network.
• In 1994, he founded the World Wide Web Consortium at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Since then, he is leading it.
