Tina Turner’s son Ronnie Turner died of complications from colon cancer
Tina Turner‘s son Ronnie Turner passed away due to complicated colon cancer.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examination-Coroner’s office confirmed that the theater singer had atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. It happens due to a build-up of cholesterol plaque in the walls of arteries causing obstruction of blood flow.
Right after his death last week on December 8, Ronnie’s wife of 17 years, Afida announced the singer’s passing via her Instagram.
She wrote:
“MY GOD RONNIE TURNER A TRUE ANGEL HIUGE SOUL HIGH MY HUSBAND MY BEST FRIEND MY BABY I WAS YOUR MUMMY, YOUR NURSE YOUR LITTLE MONSTER ❤️???I DID THE BEST TO THE END THIS TIME I WAS NO ABLE TO SAVE YOU LOVE U FOR THIS 17 YEARS THIS IS VERY VERY VERY BAD I AM VERY MAD ?”
Adifa further wrote,
“THIS IS A TRAGEDY U WITH YOUR BROTHER CRAIG AND YOUR FATHER IKE TURNER AND ALINE REST IN PARADISE ?????❤️???? SO UNFAIR,”
There she referred to Ron’s brother Craig who committed suicide by shooting himself in 2018. He was only 59.
Tina, who was heartbroken to have lost her second also paid a tribute to him via her social media account.
The legendary singer shared a black-and-white picture of herself with her eyes closed. She captioned it,
“Ronnie, you left the world far too early. In sorrow I close my eyes and think of you, my beloved son,”

Tina suffered abuse at the hands of Ike during their marriage
TMZ reported that Ronnie was struggling to breathe on Thursday. By the time paramedics reached his home, Turner had already stopped breathing.
While the paramedics tried CPR on him, Ron had already died by then.
The whole Turner family also mourned the singer’s sudden death. They released a joint statement that read:
“The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended in regards to Ronnie from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning,”
Ron had various health issues when he was alive including cancer which ultimately took his life.
Turner is a mother to four children. Her eldest, Craig, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in 2018.
Turner gave birth to Craig when she was only 18 with Raymond Hill, a saxophonist from the band Kings of Rhythm. Ike later adopted him once she married him.
The Best songstress later told in an interview about the terrible life she lived and the abuse she faced in Ike’s hands.
The legendary singer said:
“I had a terrible life,”
“I just kept going. You just keep going, and you hope that something will come.”
