Vanessa’s Early life
Vanessa Murdock is a broadcast meteorologist in America. Her exact date of birth is not available. However, it is known that she was born and raised on Long Island.
Her childhood and youth were spent in the small town of Center Moriches located in the United States. The name of this town had been named after her grandparents. The discovery of her father and mother is still not available.

In the field of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology, Vanessa completed her BS from the University of Rochester in the year 2000. For three years After graduation, Vanessa worked for a corporate company.

In the year 2005, Vanessa completed her master’s in Meteorology from there. After completing her master’s since then she has been working in Virginia as a Broadcast Meteorologist.
She has achieved certification as Certified Broadcast Meteorologist from the American Meteorologist Society. Vanessa has membership of the American Meteorologist Society and the National Weather Association.

Adventure Career
As the weekend morning meteorologist and weekday reporter, Vanessa Murdock joined the CBS 2 Weather Team in October 2011. Murdock drove to the Big Apple from our CBS affiliate, WTKR in Norfolk, Virginia.
Her meteorological adventure began at Penn State University. There she earned her Master’s degree in Meteorology. From PSU, Murdock traveled to Central Virginia. At WCAV/WVAW/WAHU she started her career as a Broadcast Meteorologist.
For both the local ABC and FOX affiliates in Charlottesville, Murdock worked for two years as the evening weather anchor and loved every minute.
She then went to Norfolk, VA where she spent nearly five years. Her work was to forecast for communities up and down the Mid-Atlantic coastline. Murdock played an essential role in reporting on Hurricane Irene.
She says,
“Covering Hurricane Irene was a reminder how we need respect the power of nature and cherish life, We were only in the early hours of dealing with Irene when we received word that a tree had fallen on a home and a child was unaccounted for. The mother escaped with only minor cuts and bruises, her son was killed. When I think of Irene I will always remember this story and my heart will ache for the mother who lost her son.”
Member of both the National Weather Association (NWA) and the American Meteorological Society (AMS), Murdock is an Emmy Nominated, Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM).
Murdock is no stranger to New York. She was born and raised on Long Island and spent most of her youth in the small town of Center Moriches. Cherishing those memories she spends time in the city with her family.
Murdock says,

Not only will I be closer to family and old friends, but I get to work in the Big Apple amongst the most talented broadcasters in the world. It’s an opportunity for which I am incredibly grateful. Personal life behind the limelight
Murdock loves spending time outdoors, running, and swimming. She currently resides in North Bergen, NJ with her husband, daughters, and their dog Zeus. No other information regarding her personal life has been advertised.
