Vincenzo Grifo started his football career with local youth clubs such as CfR Pforzheim (1996-2006, 2010-2011), Germania Brotzingen (2006-2010), and Karlsruher SC (2011-2012). In July 2012, Grifo signed a two-year contract with 1899 Hoffenheim on a free transfer where he made his debut with the club in the Bundesliga game. During the time, he comes as a substitute for Takashi Usami in the game against Greuther Furth.
